Tattoo,
I have not opened that box yet, I am assuming you left the pistons in there the way they came off your bike. What I was going to ask was when I install them , do I rotate my crank around to try and match where the pistons currently are on their stroke?
The reason I asked is I know you left them in the cylinders for a reason,I assumed the reason was that I would not have to reseat the rings again when putting on the new jugs and pistons.

Tat,
It will be a while before that happens, I am back in my hometown, Derr season for muzzleloader starts in the morning and then it rolls right into regular rifle season. And that lasts until December, so i will not even be riding the bike for a while. Besides it is 180 miles away.

RKing 1550 arrives at my house right on time.
We pulled it apart right away, the tensioners and lifters were in rough shape from having many miles on them. Picture is blurry but you get the point.
Cylinders getting ready for boring, torque plates installed.
The boring bar at the machine shop.
all cleaned up and ready for parts to be bolted on.
The bearing on the left is the one I removed, notice the amount of needle bearings the new bearing on the right has.
oil pump installed..
camplate installed with oil pump alignment tools in place.

Tattoo,
When I rebuilt the Raodking I used a nail to hold the tensioner arm back.
