I have not seen where the CDC has released any sort of ALERT. Until the CDC, reasonably bright people, have something to say I do believe we should ignore the ignorant person talking to us.

If this turns into a giant killing machine, which it (H1N1) potentially could,
people will say why didn`t the gov`t (Obama) do something more about this sooner??

I don`t see the problem, get the vaccination as soon as you can....or don`t. Don`t know why you wouldn`t.

As you know, you and I tend to disagree when talking politics. Here is how I see this. The "swine flue" or "H1N1" or whatever the polls say they should call it, is no more dangerous than the generic flu. This is just another scare tactic to change public opinion about the so-called "Public Option" which in reality means Government run health care and serious cuts in Medicare and rationing of care. Ultimately, dead and suffering Americans because we have spent all our money on illegals and folks that don`t want to pay for their own. I look at the "big picture" to see where they are trying to take us.

No sweat. I see where our thoughts differ. I`m looking at this as a medical/health issue, not a political one.
On this side of the border I don`t see the political angle, if there is one.
I`m just gonna go get my shot, I`ve got enough health issues, don`t need anymore.
For the most part I`m very happy with health-care here. Fast to reasonably fast most times and free!

Double`s we have a had a few deaths to swine flu now in Scotland, but in fairness apart from 3 healthy people the rest had under lying health issues. The healthy people that i know that have had the swine flu have been knocked you for 6 it really floors you more than your ordinary flu.

I have taken a flu shot every year for many years, we got them free at the company I used to work for. This year I have not had one, I have tried to find somewhere that has the vaccine and no where that I have been or have called have the vaccine available.
Even my regular doctor is out and say they may have more in a week or two, this is just the regular flu shot ,I have not checked in on the swine flu shot. I went to several drug stores yesterday and called alot more with no luck.

I believe my doctor will have both shots available next week. I will get them. The older you are the less susceptable you are to getting the H1N1 according to a few articles I have read. You might get a minor dose but your imunity system has built up to a good point over the years. The ordinary old regular flu is a different story.

I hope everyone survives this flu season; I wish harm to no one. I just feel like the Obama Administration is turning this into a "global emergency" when it is not. Sadly, that is their MO. Create or exaggerate a problem and use it to ram through legistlation they could not pass under honest circumstances. As far as the flu shot goes, I don`t get them. The few times I have gotten a flu shot, I got sick!
